Programs Supported by GCG:
Natural Disaster Relief

The purpose of the NGC Natural Disasters Program is to aid those states that experience natural disasters.

Monetary gifts toward the restoration of garden related areas may be made available for projects undertaken by Garden Club members. The 2007-2008 area of focus was "Greening of the Gulf" to help areas bordering the Gulf that were hit by hurricanes. Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta received a $2,000 NGC grant plus matching funds from Dogwood District for restoration work following the devastating tornado that struck Atlanta in 2008.

To make a $25 or more donation: Checks should be made payable to GCG and mailed to Judy McWhorter, 812 Oaklawn Drive, Swainsboro, GA 30401. Judy can be reached at judymc@nctv.com.
