Flower Show Grant Program
Flower Show School participants
GCG has established a matching grant program to encourage garden clubs who have never sponsored a flower show (or have not sponsored a flower show within the past five years) to undertake such a project. Please access the application form and specific guidelines in PDF or MS Word. The Designers Club in Redbud District has published a Flower Show 101 booklet that will walk everyone through each step of producing a quality flower show.
Flower Show Schools
Flower Show Schools, sponsored by the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc., offer classes in the art of interpretive flower design. The classes provide study in horticulture, design, and flower show procedure. By joining a member garden club and attending a Flower Show School, you'll be on your way to creating your own artistic designs with flowers. Visit this page to learn more!

For the Floral Designer who has completed at least three of the five Basic Design I units and wishes to explore some of the designs in greater depth, this is the course for you. Whether it be Exhibition Tables, Reflective Designs, Stretch Designs or Collages (just to name a few), you will be able to learn from the masters. All courses are taught by nationally accredited instructors. See this page for more details.
Previously, each spring/summer, the Georgia Council of Nationally Accredited Flower Show Judges sponsored an in depth three-day symposium on various aspects of Flower Shows. They are switching to hosting this in odd years only. This is primarily intended for Flower Show Judges to maintain their credentials, but anyone interested in learning more about Flower Shows or Floral Arranging is very much welcome. The Symposium is held at the University of GeorgiaGeorgia Center for Continuing Education in Athens and is approved by both the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. and the National Garden Clubs, Inc. The 2017 Symposium was held July 16-18. The next Symposium will be held in the summer of 2019. More details to come.
