Above are entries for the "Are We There Yet?" NGC Youth Awards in Redbud Districts 45th Yellow Daisy Flower Show, "Driving Miss Daisy." The Flower Show is held each year in conjunction with the Yellow Daisy Craft Festival, the third largest craft show in the country, 1646 visitors from 24 states and 8 countries enjoyed the show.

In support of NGC President's Service in Action Projects, the Elms and Roses GC Council of LaGrange donated copies of "The Frightened Frog, An Environmental Tale" and the "Ecology Warrior" resource booklet to all of the elementary schools in Troup County. Bonnie Dudley, representing the Council, visited Hollis Hand Elementary to present them their materials.

Sunday, Sept. 11, DeKalb Federation participated in the Memorial Service for 9/11 first responders by providing and placing a wreath on the memorial, which is located in front of the DeKalb County Public Safety Complex in Tucker. President Renie Faulkenberry and Tommie Sanders, Henderson Estates Garden Club, accompanied the Public Safety Honor Guard to the memorial.

Pictured above is the newly refurbished Blue Star Marker in place at the Callanwolde Fine Arts center. For many years, the marker has been a source of pride for the Federation in honoring our heroic service members and families.

Shenandoah Rose Garden Club collected Christmas gifts for a needy family from the Initiative for Affordable Housing. Shopping was done for each child. This is an ongoing holiday project for the club. Members get great joy sharing with those less fortunate. The club also gave a $50 gift card.

Smoke Rise Morning Glories collected Christmas gifts for the boys and girls at a Battered Women's Shelter. The mothers received a Walmart Gift Card.
