Many Ways to Support GCG

Donating to the GCG
The Garden Club of Georgia gladly accepts tax deductible donations and your contribution will be put to good use. Our organization is engaged in environmental and conservation efforts throughout the state, as well as many other educational and community improvement programs. You may use this form Donating to GCG to send your donation. Read more >

Garden Shop Catalogue
GCG maintains an inventory of garden related merchandise and publications of interest to our members. Shop our "store" to support our organization. See catalog >

Garden Therapy
The Garden Club of Georgia actively solicits donations from clubs and individuals to support Garden Therapy programs at the six state psychiatric hospitals in Georgia. State budget cuts have severely limited funding and these hospitals rely heavily on our support to maintain their programs. Donations should be sent to GCG Garden Therapy Treasurer Ann Bridges, 38 Cowan Drive, Cartersville, GA 30120-5301. Please use the Donation Voucher when sending your check. Life Membership Donations
GCG encourages clubs to honor special people with Life Memberships at the State, Region or National levels. Donations made in honor of those individuals will be used for scholarships and the individual being honored will have his/her name listed in the GUIDE and at the Life Member luncheon. Patron of Scholarship and Named Scholarships
GCG is delighted to accept donations in any amount towards our scholarship program. If you wish to honor someone special and donate a minimum of $200 specifically to one of the GCG scholarship funds, please use the Patron of Scholarship form. For smaller donations use the Scholarship Donation form.

In recent years, GCG has been accepting larger donations to create Named Scholarships in memory of or in honor of specific persons or organizations. There is currently a $1,000 minimum contribution required to establish such a scholarship. Funds are requested to be received by December 1st of each year in order for the scholarship committee to be able to make the awards to students. Please contact our Scholarship Chairman, Dot Williams at d.williams@bellsouth.net or 478-477-1742 for further details, or complete the Named Scholarship Donation Form.

Preservation Partner
A GCG donation category for members and clubs who would like to support historic landscape preservation efforts within our state is available. Those clubs donating $25 or more to this program will receive a "Partner of Preservation" certificate. For donations of $100 or more, a "Patron of Preservation" certificate will be awarded. Make checks payable to GCG and mail to the GCG Treasurer. Use the What To Send Where form.

Roadside Beautification
The Garden Club of Georgia has partnered with the Georgia Department of Transportation to enhance the beauty of our state's highways by planting wildflowers and spring bulbs. Clubs are encouraged to donate to this worthy project. Read more >

What to Send Where
For the convenience of our club members, a one page sheet is available with the addresses to whom donations should be sent for the various projects listed above. A second page has voucher forms to be completed and sent with each check. This will help each chairman give proper credit to your club for the contribution. Thank you. Download form >
